Teaching activities/ raising awareness for both Romany and non-Romany parents

A1 – Parents’ School

 

       Target Group:

• parents of both Romany and non-Romany students from partner schools – 84

• Romany parents – 7 / Non-Romany parents 7 – Total – 14 / “Avram Iancu” Elementary School, Unirea;

• Romany parents – 7 / Non-Romany parents 7 – Total – 14 / “Cloșca” Elementary School, Cărpiniș - Structure of “Simion Balint” Elementary School;

• Romany parents – 7 / Non-Romany parents 7 – Total – 14 / “Simion Lazăr” Elementary School, Lunca Mureșului;

• Romany parents – 7 / Non-Romany parents 7 – Total – 14 / “Ștefan cel Mare” Elementary School, Cetatea de Baltă;

• Romany parents – 7 / Non-Romany parents 7 – Total – 14 / Jidvei Technological Highschool

• Romany parents – 7 / Non-Romany parents 7 – Total – 14 / “Ion Micu Moldovan” Elementary School, Blaj – Structure of “Simion Bărnuțiu” Elementary School, Blaj-Tiur.

       Activity Description:

The activity is carried out under the form of informing and raising awareness campaign – 6 campaigns in the 6 project partner schools, having as topic the anti-discrimination – social inclusion, tolerance, human rights/children rights. The added value of this activity consists in the way it manages to engage Romany and non-Romany parents, both sharing a common goal. From each school there are two teachers involved, who have participated in each of the four training activities for teachers who work with Romany children.

This activity will be accomplished with the participation of the teachers who were part of the training programme, who work with Romany children in the partner schools, two from each school – a total of 12 teachers who will work along with the 84 Romany and non-Romany parents from the 6 partner schools.
