Jidvei Technological Highschool
Jidvei Technological Highschool is a school from rural environment, whose classes are held in a one storey-building built in 1875, having 18 classrooms, teachers’ room, headmaster’s office, secretary’s office, accountant’s office and library. The building has the following annexes: storeroom, basement and outdoor bathroom.
-
1565 – there has been mentioned for the first time the existence of a teacher, though the way the educational process was done is still unknown;

1722 – mandatory primary school was introduced for the first time;

1775 – the construction of a school began, which was extended during 1808-1810, the teacher being Samuel Waedt;
-
1875 –Jidvei Evangelic primary school was founded, the teacher being Andrias Fabritius;
-
1922 – Romanian students start going to the German school;

1929 – the Public School for Romanians was created, which also included German children;

1948 – The Romanian School with 7 studying years was founded, with two sections: Romanian and German; Beside other subjects Russian was introduced while Religious Education was forbidden;

1962 – The Theoretical Highschool is founded;

1966 – the first promotion of Highschool graduates;

1992 – The school receives the name of Grup Åžcolar Industrial Jidvei;

2012 – The new name will be Jidvei Technological Highschool, a PJ unit comprising

o Feisa Elementary School,
o GPP Jidvei , GPP Bălcaciu,
o GPN Căpâlna de Jos,
o GPN Feisa,
o GPN VeseuÈ™

Today Jidvei Technological Highschool has 48 classrooms with 815 Ss(51% Romanian and 49% Romany and other nationalities) on all educational levels and the school is open for all those who need education, ensure knowledge and mutual acceptance in view of a peaceful living.
We wish that in our school every student feels in a family environment, enjoying equal chances, disregarding ethnicity or religion.
Our school will create an environment favourable to the development of Ss’ capacities and skills, each graduate of our school will be competent to use information and own formation.
Being a rural school all villagers will be offered equal chances of personal and professional development, we will be a real asset for the community and we will carry on the local traditions
