This project is being funded with 174.426 Euros, through the programme “Education, Scholarships, Apprenticeship and the young people’s Entrepreneurship in Romania”, through the SEE grants, the financial mechanism 2014-2021 and it targets:

  • training teachers in areas such as: promoting an inclusive school and teaching in a multicultural environment, democracy, tolerance and anti-discrimination

  • organising various awareness raising and outreach activities for the Romany and non-Romany parents

  • organising extracurricular activities for the Romany and non-Romany children, in order to raise the inclusion rate and their social competence.

The Dissemination Seminary included the dissemination of the results of the four training activities for the teachers who work with Romany and non-Romany students upon the topics:

  • “Performance through Learning. Student Centred Teaching”

  • “Education in the Multicultural Environment. The Inclusive School and Teaching in a Multicultural Environment”

  • “All Equal – All Different. The Rights of Man/Child, Tolerance, Anti-Discrimination”

The training of the 72 academic staff from the partner schools was provided by a team of experts from Norway and Romania, which has contributed to the reinforcing of the institutional capacity of our partner schools, in order to efficiently include the Romany and non-Romany children, increasing the number of teachers who have taken part in training programmes targeting topics such as student centred teaching, inclusive school and teaching in a multicultural environment, democracy and active citizenship education, the rights of man/child, tolerance, anti-discrimination, increasing the students’ satisfaction degree, reducing absenteeism and school drop-out, increasing the teachers/parents/students’ motivation degree.

The General School Inspector, Mrs. Eugenia-Marcela Dărămuș, stated that: “The teachers from the 6 partner schools, trained through a Romanian-Norwegian joint effort during the project ‘Learning Together’ are considered a superior trained resource in the field of including Romany and non-Romany children in schools, these effectively gaining improved inclusion knowledge and abilities.”
